Welcome to Metchosin Yoga, the home of Iyengar yoga in Metchosin!

At Metchosin yoga, we are focused on teaching exclusively the work of Guruji BKS Iyengar, the master who brought yoga to the West. This pure yogic tradition focuses on proper body alignment to yield the maximum health benefit for the student: body, mind, emotions, and spirit.

Iyengar yoga is a form of hatha yoga. It is suitable for all ages, all body types, and all physical conditions. Having said that you must choose the suitable class for you. Yoga is non-competitive, contemplative, or, in the words of BKS Iyengar, a “meditation in action”.

As you embark on your yoga journey, be mindful that it is a journey. Yoga yields numerous benefits to the student but demands a commitment to do so. You may just have made your first step in that journey.
